The invention discloses a polyphenylene ether-polycarbonate composition and a preparation method thereof, prepared from the following parts by weight: 80–200 parts of polyphenylene ether, 50–80 parts of polycarbonate, 30–50 parts of HIPS, 5–15 parts of fumaric anhydride-grafted PPO, 1–2 parts of lubricant, 3–8 parts of first antioxidant and 0.5–1 part of second antioxidant, wherein the first antioxidant is carbon black and the second antioxidant is antioxidant CA. The composition exhibits significantly improved thermal aging resistance and high retention of mechanical properties after thermal aging; it has excellent mechanical and processing properties, good melt fluidity, and no process problems such as strand breakage and die clogging, showing remarkable application prospects.
