The invention discloses a polymethyl methacrylate production device, comprising a tower reactor, a condenser and a reflux tank. The side inlets of the tower reactor include three feed ports arranged at intervals from top to bottom, each connected to an additive feeding pipeline. The gas phase inlet of the condenser is connected to the gas phase outlet of the tower reactor. The reflux tank has a first liquid phase inlet connected to the liquid phase outlet of the condenser, a second liquid phase inlet for feeding reaction monomers, a first liquid phase outlet for discharging heavy components and a second liquid phase outlet for discharging light components, wherein the first liquid phase outlet is connected to the reflux inlet and each feed port of the tower reactor. The invention also discloses a polymethyl methacrylate production process using the above device. Compared with the prior art, the device has low energy consumption and the prepared product has excellent optical properties.
