This paper provides a composition for forming filaments, which is a blend of the following substances: (a) 1 wt% to 40 wt% of post-consumer recycled materials with a density of 0.910 g/cm³ to 0.940 g/cm³ and a melt index of 1.0 g/10min to 5.0 g/10min; wherein the post-consumer recycled materials consist essentially of (ai) 30 wt% to 99 wt% of linear low-density polyethylene and (aii) 1 wt% to 70 wt% of low-density polyethylene; and (b) 60 wt% to 99 wt% of virgin linear low-density polyethylene. Within the shear rate range of 50 rad/s to 220 rad/s, the viscosity of the virgin linear low-density polyethylene in Pascal-seconds is no less than 0.5 times and no more than 2.0 times that of the post-consumer recycled materials. The invention also provides a preparation method of the filament composition, filaments made from the composition, a filament manufacturing method, artificial turf made of the filaments, and an artificial turf production method.
