1.  Standardized Operating Procedures: Standardize Work and Ensure Safety and Efficiency

In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the extrusion blow molding machine, improve production efficiency and product quality, Apollo Machinery has formulated a set of standardized operating procedures. Operators must follow these procedures strictly.

1.1 Preparations Before Startup

Equipment Inspection: Operators first conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment, including whether the machine body is stable, whether the connecting bolts are tightened, whether the mold is installed properly, whether there are impurities in the hopper, whether the cooling system is normal, and whether the lubrication system is sufficient. At the same time, check whether the electrical lines, sensors, electromagnetic valves, etc. are in good condition to ensure that the equipment is without abnormalities.

Raw Material Preparation: According to the production plan, prepare the corresponding plastic raw materials and conduct screening and drying treatment (for moisture-absorbing raw materials such as PET, PA, etc.), remove impurities and moisture from the raw materials to avoid affecting product quality. Pour the processed raw materials into the hopper and ensure that there is sufficient raw material in the hopper.

Parameter setting: Based on the specifications of the produced products and the characteristics of the raw materials, set various production parameters through the touch screen, including extrusion temperature, screw rotation speed, extrusion speed, blowing pressure, blowing time, cooling time, mold temperature, etc. After parameter setting, check and confirm to ensure accuracy.

Safety inspection: Check whether the safety protection devices of the equipment are complete and effective, such as safety doors, emergency stop buttons, protective covers, etc. Ensure that there are no obstructions in the operation area, and operators wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety helmets, protective gloves, protective shoes, etc.

1.2 Startup and Operation

Preheating Startup: Start the heating system of the equipment to preheat the barrel and die head. During the preheating process, closely monitor the temperature display and ensure that the temperatures in each area reach the set values and remain stable for a period of time (usually 30-60 minutes) to avoid poor plasticization of raw materials due to insufficient temperature.

Trial Production: After the temperature reaches the required level, start the screw rotation to conduct trial extrusion. Observe the formation of the molded part, including the diameter, thickness, and surface finish of the molded part, and adjust the extrusion speed, temperature, etc. according to the actual situation. Once the molded part is formed stably, start the blow molding mold and blowing air system to conduct trial blow molding.

Sample Inspection: Take out the samples from the trial production and conduct various inspections such as size measurement, wall thickness detection, and sealing test. If the samples meet the quality requirements, they can enter mass production; if there are defects, analyze the reasons and adjust the relevant parameters until the samples are qualified.

Mass Production: After the samples pass the inspection, the equipment enters the mass production state. Operators regularly check the operating status of the equipment and changes in production parameters, and take a certain number of products for quality inspection every hour to ensure stable product quality. At the same time, record production data, including output, pass rate, equipment operation time, etc.

1.3 Shutdown Operation

Stop Feeding: After mass production is completed, close the feeding valve of the hopper and let the screw continue to rotate to extrude the remaining raw materials in the barrel.

Cooling Shutdown: After the raw materials in the barrel are basically extruded, turn off the heating system and let the equipment cool naturally. At the same time, shut off the blowing air system, cooling system, and other auxiliary equipment.

Equipment cleaning: After the equipment temperature drops to the safe range, clean the hopper, die head, mold, etc., remove the residual plastic raw materials and impurities. For the mold, apply anti-rust oil for protection to avoid rusting.

Safety Check: Turn off the main power supply, air source, water source, etc. of the equipment, check if the equipment is cleaned thoroughly, and if the operation area is tidy. Record the operation status and shutdown reasons of the equipment to provide reference for the next startup.

1.4 Daily Maintenance Points

Daily Maintenance: Clean the dust and debris on the equipment surface, check the oil level of the lubrication system, and replenish the lubricating oil in time; Check the water quality and water volume of the cooling system to ensure the cooling effect; Check the cleanliness and wear condition of the molds, and promptly clean the residual materials on the mold surface.

Weekly Maintenance: Check the wear condition of the screws and barrel, and check for scratches, corrosion, etc.; Check the tension and wear condition of the belt, chain and other components of the transmission system, and adjust or replace them in time; Check the connection of the electrical lines to ensure there are no loose or aging phenomena.

Monthly Maintenance: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of key components such as bearings and gears, add or replace lubricating oil; Check the working condition of electrical components such as sensors and solenoid valves to ensure accurate signal transmission; Conduct a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of the molds, and check the accuracy and sealing performance of the molds.
